I must say, I haven't been keeping up with the blog entries as I would have liked. Initially, I wanted to document the entire wedding planning process; however, I came to realize, I wanted to keep a lot of things less public, and actually a surprise - for our friends and family. Nevertheless, as the date is fast approaching, and being that everything is engrained in my mind, I will be back-dating entries, so that I do have an official "log" of all the events, and decisions of the past few months :)
Well, I must say, it's 20 days away, and I'm nervously excited, or excitedly nervous? The thought that God has placed this man in my life, and now, we are to start the rest of our lives, together... is nothing but a blessing.
I pray we strive to seek the Lord, in all we do, in the decisions that we make, in all that is to come, for each other and our family. That's the least we can do, for He has brought us together. You have helped me to understand God's love, a bit more. And for this, I am grateful. Love you.

Happy Valentine's Day: Smurf Orchids
I really thought u bought me a tree
which made me a little sad
cuz the old tree would see the new tree
and probably be sad
when the old tree is trying so hard to make it
**
This was my convo with the finance, as I received my smurf orchid! He sent me a beautiful gardenia bonsai last year, and it grew lush and green all year. As winter approached and with the unstable the radiator in my office, the bonsai's been... not looking so hot. Jay's been telling me the past few days/weeks that he got me a replacement tree... and I was secretly a bit nervous! Thanks, Lover <3
Will you be my Bridesmaid?
The fiance and I jet-setted shortly after getting engaged, before we even had a chance to tell many of our friends in person, how it went down. I did want to ask my girls the honor of being my bridesmaids, sooner rather than later, so as we headed to the Dominican Republic, I sent each of them a boxed gift from < flourpotcookies.com. Now, I'm super finicky about stuff like this. Knowing me, I rather bake the cookie myself, frost it, bow it, wrap it, tie it, box it, mail it, all my freaking self... simply to ensure I know exactly how it will look when sent out and (hopefully) when opened. Sigh, but after seeing the photos online, and reading some of the reviews... eh, I was like okay... skeptical, but hopeful enough.

Turns out they arrived perfectly. The gift box came wrapped in a box, and delivered to each girls' doorstep. I was also worried the cookies would be overly sweet...as those frosted kinds could be, but surprisingly I hear they were very tasty, and not grossly sugary. Obviously they all said yes :)
사랑해요.
My grandma and I, have only spent a handful of times together in our lives. Not to say that in any way, that this lessens the immense love, I knew she had for me. My mom resembles her in so many ways, not only in looks, but in mannerisms and tone of voice. My 할머니 has lived a long and fruitful life, and I know she is in heaven. | Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. Psalms 63:3
Good-bye. Hello.
Apparently, it's the last day of the year - and... I almost forgot..! With the excitement of the holidays, birthday, engagement and all that wrapped into one, I feel like I have so much to look forward to. But, it has been... eventful, to say nonetheless. 2012, was a slow rolling start, until- of course, God reminds you, that at any which moment, anything can change. The comfort and stability that I was so accustomed to, was shattered and I once again- was forced, to remember who is in charge. Let's say, I've definitely developed, character, this year. As a person, professional, and a partner, I've learned about myself and matured, ever so abundantly. Thank you, to my loved ones who have continually supported me along the way. With marathons, firings, weddings, road trips, grandmas, hurricanes, this that and every thing else, above all, is the true love of the Lord, for in which we have been called, to share with those around us. Thank you. Love you. Cheers to 2013.

We are engaged! My lover & best friend, swallowed back a little bit of throw up, and got down on one knee, at the exact spot, where we first saw each other. He did good :)
Must-Dos for 2013
1. Use less emoticons :(
Haha. I love them, and it's not that I use them excessively, or inappropriately... but, I feel like cutting down on them, subconsciously... is way to validate my writing skills, and professionalism. (This is not including emoji on the iPhone!)
2. Get rid of my left mole.
Take care of my skin. I must have had this on my list for the past 3 years, but let's turn it up even further. Avoid sleeping on my face. Actually apply eye cream daily. Get rid of my left mole :( I gotta live as glamorous as possible for as long as possible!
3. Less sugar.
Omg. Although I've been pretty steady on the health front, one thing I do not compromise, is the sugar. I love the savory sweets and the cakes and the cookies...well, as I suspect I may have to go into bridal bootcamp mode, and I'm going to curb the sugar intake... le sigh.
4. Familia.
Blood is blood. *Gang sign* I realize getting older, means everyone older than me, too, is getting older. Cherishing loved ones is always underrated.
I'll add more as the time comes. Happy End of the Year :)

I Don't Believe in Karma
(I know the photo doesn't relate to the story...I'm just feeling new york-y!) Long story short, we love our doorman. Unfortunately we heard yesterday, that it was going to be his last day! Office buildings in the city, tend to swap their managing companies often, sometimes that means security management is outsourced, those companies then get turned over and bought out and swapped, anyways– he's being transferred. We wanted to do something nice, so we impromptu decided to get him a frappaccino on our way back from lunch. A tall grande mocha frap (with whip cream) turned into a 15 minute wait, and a lost order. Starbucks graciously upgraded us to a trente mocha frap (with extra whip cream) and threw in a free-drink-next-time, as a courtesy.
See what happens when you do something nice for someone? God forbid!
Happy Friday. "Love your neighbor, as yourself." – Mark 12:31
I Love Yous & Good-Byes
At the end of any and every single Grey's Anatomy episode, I am left with the same sentiment: Cherish the one you love. (Warning: Spoiler Alert!) I figured out why I wasn't as disturbed as maybe I should have been, after this season's finale episode. (I know it's already been a few weeks since it's aired, but I promise it's relevant.) As heart-wrenching as it was, watching Lexy panting for air, as Dr. What's-His-Hot-Face was in denial that she was gonna croak.............they still, got to say what they needed to say, you know? She admitted she always loved him. He admitted he always loved her. Yes, it's still sad – but, how would it have been, if Lexy never said anything at all, and then, bam! Dead.?
My coworker asks me if I heard of a car accident in Jersey City that occurred last night. I hadn't, but apparently there was a 5-car pile-up on the NJ Turnpike, and her best friend's husband was the driver. They were on their way to celebrate their 5-year wedding anniversary, when he encountered unexpected heart failure, while behind the wheel. She was telling us that her friend had really only met her husband a few years ago, and though they've been married 5 years, that doesn't compare to many couples their age. "Finally finding your soulmate, later in life, yet not being able to spend forever with them, must be heartbreaking."

As I was saying... the fact that we take our loved ones for granted, is basically freaking ridiculous. It's probably one of the most worst things one can do. So, I promise myself– not to go to sleep angry, or close doors without saying, I love you and Good-bye. No silly hang-ups and storming off upset. It's immature and it's not worth it. Cherish your loved ones. They are God's gift to us.
I will now appropriately post a pic of me + my love! <3
P.S. You know you love it! We're super proud of this self-timer+jump photo :)
